　「MATE」インストール時に、「MATE 端末」で、日本語が有効にならなかったので、「xterm」で確認しようとしたら・・・。

　なんとも、いびつで気持ち悪いので、少し、いじります。

2.　設定

　システムの設定をコピーしていじります。

　ログインユーザで


cp /etc/X11/xdm/Xresources ~/.Xresources
vi ~/.Xresources


　「xterm」に関する設定は

　とりあえず、すべてコメントアウト。
　有効行の先頭に「!」を記述します。

　日本語が入力できるようになったら、もう一度いじるかもしれません。

　設定を変更して、「xrdb」してから「xterm」起動時に


$ xrdb ~/.Xresources
$ xterm
Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C


　てな警告が出ます。
　（なんか、参考になりそうなサイトがあって、リンクをはっていたのですが、リンク切れになりました）
