1. ディスクの確認
ディスクの確認は「smartctl --scan」だそうで。
> smartctl --scan
/dev/ada0 -d atacam # /dev/ada0, ATA device
/dev/cd0 -d atacam # /dev/cd0, ATA device
/dev/ses0 -d atacam # /dev/ses0, ATA device
/dev/ada0 はディスクドライブだな。
/dev/cd0 は光学ディスクドライブまではわかる。
/dev/ses0 って何だろう?
調べてみたら「SCSI エンクロージャー用デバイス」ですって。そこまで言われてもわかんないなぁ。
必要になったら調べることとしよう。
ディスクドライブが「S.M.A.R.T.」に対応しているかは「smartctl デバイス名」で調べるのだそうで

「successfully opened」ってことは対応しているということらしい。
2. 情報を取得
「smartctl -a デバイス名」で「S.M.A.R.T.」の情報を取得、「smartctl -x デバイス名」で「S.M.A.R.T.」以外の情報も含めて取得するらしい。
いささか長くなるし重複しますが、それぞれ出力したものを載せてみます。
